Terms of Service

Last updated: 25 September 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and LK1 Limited (“Recce Net”, “we”, “us”) for using Recce Net. Please read them. By creating an account, starting a free trial, buying a Pack or using the service, you accept them.

If you are using Recce Net for a company or other organisation, you accept these terms on its behalf and confirm you have authority to do so. Section 14 applies to business customers and section 15 to consumers.

1About these terms

Recce Net is operated by LK1 Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16562549), registered office Office 3 Grg House, Cobden Street, Salford, England, M6 6NA.

These terms work together with our Privacy Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, Cancellation & Refunds and, for organisations, our Data Processing Addendum. If you have signed a separate written agreement with us (for example an Enterprise agreement), that agreement takes priority where it differs.

2Words we use

  • Service: Recce Net as a whole — the field app (iOS, Android and web at https://app.reccenet.com), the admin console (https://admin.reccenet.com), the Recce Net Admin app, our website and our support.
  • Workspace: the account for an individual or an organisation, holding its people, recces and other content.
  • Owner: the person who controls a workspace and its Pack. An owner can appoint admins to help manage it.
  • Member: anyone who belongs to a workspace, such as an officer, supervisor or viewer.
  • Pack: the paid plan a workspace holds, Individual or Team, monthly or for 12 months.
  • Seat: one member’s access to a Team Pack’s features.
  • Your content: everything you or your members put into the Service — recces, photos, voice notes, documents, messages, plans, and details of people such as clients (“principals”).

3Accounts and workspaces

  • You must be 18 or over to use Recce Net.
  • Give accurate details and keep them up to date. Keep your password and any authenticator app secure, and do not share a login. Each person needs their own account.
  • Tell us straight away if you think someone has used your account without permission.
  • A workspace owner is responsible for the workspace: who is invited, which roles and seats they hold, and how members use the Service. Owners and admins can suspend or remove members at any time.
  • A workspace may require members to verify their identity (for example with a driving licence) before they can use it. We store those documents securely and only for that purpose.
  • If you are removed from a workspace, the work you created there stays with that workspace.

4Packs, free trials and payment

Prices

Current prices are on our pricing page and at checkout. They are in pounds sterling. We are not registered for VAT, so no VAT is added. If we register, we will treat adding VAT as a price change under “Price changes” below.Team Packs are priced per seat with a minimum of 10 seats. A 12-month Pack costs 20% less than twelve monthly payments.

Free trial

  • Every new workspace can take one 7-day free trial of a Pack. A payment card is needed to start it.
  • We take the first payment on the morning of day 8, at about 08:00 UK time. Checkout shows you the exact date and time.
  • Cancel before then and you pay nothing.
  • One free trial per customer. We may refuse a trial where a workspace, person or payment card has already had one.

Renewal

Packs renew automatically, monthly or every 12 months, until cancelled. We charge the card on file at each renewal. Payments are handled by our payment provider, Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.

Changing your Pack or seats

  • Moving up to a higher Pack, or from monthly to 12-month, takes effect straight away. You pay only the difference for the rest of the current period, never more than the price of the new Pack.
  • Moving down to a lower Pack takes effect at your next renewal; you keep your current Pack until then.
  • Changes made during a free trial cost nothing and do not end the trial. The first payment on day 8 is for the Pack you then hold.
  • Adding seats is charged pro rata for the rest of the period. Removing seats gives a pro-rata credit against future invoices rather than a refund.

Add-ons and usage

Optional add-ons, such as Report Drive, and charges for AI-assisted recces beyond your Pack’s monthly allowance are billed as described on the pricing page and in your console. Usage charges are added to your next invoice.

If a payment fails

We email the workspace owner and billing contact. If payment is not received within 3 days, access to the Pack’s features is restricted until it is. Your content is kept, and access returns as soon as the payment goes through. If a payment remains unpaid, the Pack may be cancelled. We will not delete a workspace’s content for non-payment without giving the owner at least 30 days’ notice.

Price changes

We may change prices. We will tell the owner at least 30 days before a change affects them, and it will apply from the next renewal after that. You can cancel before it applies.

5Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel at any time from Billing in the console. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for, and you keep access until then. Refunds, and the 14-day cancellation right for consumers, are explained on our Cancellation & Refunds page.

6Your content and personal data

  • You keep ownership of your content. You give us the permission we need to host, store, copy, process and display it in order to provide and support the Service, and for no other purpose.
  • You are responsible for your content and for having the right to put it in the Service. This includes the personal data of other people, such as clients, colleagues and anyone shown in photos, and any health or medical details. You must have a lawful basis for it and give people any notices the law requires.
  • Where we process personal data on behalf of an organisation, our Data Processing Addendum applies and forms part of these terms.
  • How we handle personal data for our own purposes, such as accounts and billing, is set out in our Privacy Policy.
  • Content you choose to share, for example a shared recce, a library entry or a link sent to a client, is visible to the people you share it with.
  • Keep your own copies of important material. We take regular backups, but the Service is not a substitute for your own records.

7Acceptable use

You must follow our Acceptable Use Policy. In short: use Recce Net lawfully and for legitimate security work, never to track, monitor or target anyone without a lawful reason and proper authority, and never to attack, overload, copy or misuse the Service.

8AI features and operational judgement

Recce Net includes tools that produce suggestions, such as risk scores, route and threat analysis, hospital and medical suggestions, weather impact, crime and open-source intelligence summaries, quality checks and drafted reports. Some are produced by artificial intelligence.

  • These outputs are aids to your professional judgement, not a replacement for it. They can be incomplete, out of date or wrong.
  • You and your organisation remain responsible for every operational decision, for checking information before relying on it, and for the safety of the people you protect.
  • Recce Net is not an emergency service. In an emergency, call 999 (or the local emergency number) first.

9Third-party services and data

The Service uses information and services from other providers, such as maps, directions, places, weather, police-recorded crime statistics and news sources. We do not control them, and we cannot promise they are accurate, complete or available. Their own terms may also apply, for example Google’s terms for maps.

10Availability and changes to the Service

  • We work to keep Recce Net available and secure, but we cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may need planned maintenance, which we try to schedule at quiet times.
  • Some features, such as offline capture, depend on your device, connection and operating system.
  • We improve Recce Net regularly and may change, add or retire features. If we remove a significant feature you are paying for, we will tell you in advance and, where fair, adjust your Pack or give you a pro-rata refund.
  • Support is available by email at the address in section 18.

11Intellectual property

We and our licensors own the Service, its software, design and the Recce Net name and marks. We give you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service under these terms while your account is active. You must not copy, modify, resell, reverse-engineer or build a competing product from it, except where the law allows. If you send us feedback, we may use it without owing you anything.

12Suspension and termination

  • You can stop using Recce Net at any time, cancel your Pack and ask us to delete your account (see Account Deletion).
  • We may suspend or close an account or workspace if it seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, if payment is overdue, if the law requires it, or to protect the Service or other people. Where we reasonably can, we will warn you first and give you a chance to put things right.
  • When a workspace is closed, the owner can ask us for an export of its content within 30 days. After that we delete it, except for what we must keep by law, such as billing records.

13Our liability

  • Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow to be limited.
  • We are not responsible for losses caused by your content, by decisions made using the Service, by third-party services or data, or by events outside our reasonable control.
  • Business customers: see section 14 for further limits.
  • Consumers: see section 15. We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill.

14Extra terms for business customers

This section applies if you use Recce Net for a business, trade, profession or other organisation.

  • Neither party is liable to the other for loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill or anticipated savings, or for any indirect or consequential loss.
  • Each party’s total liability arising out of or in connection with these terms in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or £100 if that is greater.
  • You will compensate us for losses arising from third-party claims that your content, or your or your members’ use of the Service, breaks the law or these terms.
  • Each party will keep the other’s non-public business information confidential and use it only for this agreement, unless the law requires disclosure.
  • The Data Processing Addendum forms part of these terms.

15Extra terms for consumers

This section applies if you are an individual using Recce Net for purposes wholly or mainly outside your trade, business, craft or profession.

  • You have legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, including a 14-day right to cancel, explained on our Cancellation & Refunds page. Nothing in these terms affects those rights.
  • Sections 13 and 14 do not limit our liability to you beyond what the law permits.
  • If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may bring proceedings in your local courts.

16Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example to reflect changes to the Service or the law. For material changes we will email the owner or show a notice in the Service at least 30 days before they take effect. If you do not agree, you can cancel before then. The date at the top shows when these terms last changed.

17General

  • We may transfer our rights and obligations to another organisation, for example if our business is sold; we will make sure your rights are not reduced. You may not transfer yours without our written agreement.
  • We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.
  • If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
  • If we do not enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.
  • No one else has rights under these terms under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
  • These terms, with the documents they refer to, are the whole agreement between us about the Service.
  • These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, subject to section 15 for consumers.
