Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 25 September 2026
Recce Net is built for lawful, professional security work. This policy forms part of our Terms of Service and applies to everyone who uses it. Workspace owners are responsible for making sure their members follow it.
1People and their data
You must not use Recce Net to:
- track, monitor, follow or locate anyone without a lawful reason and proper authority, or share someone else’s location without their knowledge. Only the person carrying a device may share its location;
- stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten or unlawfully target any person, or plan any unlawful act against them;
- collect or record personal data, including health details of clients or colleagues, that you have no lawful basis to hold, or keep it longer than you need it;
- publish or share personal data, for example through shared recces, library entries or client links, with people who should not have it;
- identify, profile or expose private individuals from open-source or news information (“doxxing”).
2Keeping within the law
- Hold every licence your work needs, such as an SIA licence for close protection in the UK, and follow the law wherever you operate.
- Any recording of firearms or armed roles must relate to lawful, properly licensed activity only.
- Do not upload anything unlawful, defamatory or obscene, anything that infringes someone else’s rights, or anything containing malware.
- Do not use Recce Net in breach of sanctions or export controls.
3Respecting the Service
You must not:
- try to access another workspace’s data, or any account, system or data you are not authorised to use;
- probe, scan or test the security of the Service except under our responsible disclosure terms (see Security & Disclosure);
- overload, disrupt or attack the Service, or get around rate limits, seat limits, Pack limits or trial rules, for example by opening extra accounts or workspaces to get more free trials;
- copy, scrape, resell, sublicense or reverse-engineer the Service, or use it to build a competing product;
- share logins, or let anyone use your account;
- use the AI features to produce unlawful, harmful or misleading material, or present AI output as verified fact without checking it.
4Safety
Recce Net supports your judgement; it does not replace it. It is not an emergency service. In an emergency, call 999, or the local emergency number, first.
5If the rules are broken
We may remove content, restrict features, or suspend or close an account or workspace, as our Terms of Service describe. Where the law requires it, or someone is at risk, we may report matters to the authorities.
To report misuse, email help@reccenet.com. For security issues, see our Security & Disclosure page.
